For my very first article, I thought it was a good idea to write it about me, or my story.
I think part of the reason I am a writer is my obsession with languages. At school, I usually got the best grades in idioms, even in French (the language I — sadly — don’t speak anymore).
By the time I turned 18, I had to choose my professional path. Here’s the only thing I knew: I was pretty good with words.
So I went to study Communication Sciences and, before I knew it, I had a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations.
At the time, I knew nothing about being a “copywriter” which, by definition, is: “writing clear and concise copy for ads, marketing materials, and websites.” (just googled it!)
“The big difference between a copywriter and a creative writer is that copywriters create task-focused content while creative writers create reader-focused content”.
Got you. But can’t you be both?
Usually, at my work, I don’t think: “well, what you’re writing has to sell”, because I believe that is the first step to failure.
I have to feel it. And those feelings are something only a full-writer can reach. Either you write ads, articles, or even books.
Hello world. I’m a copywriter. But I do believe I’m also a creative writer. And a content writer. And an articles' writer. And something-writer. Or, simply, a writer.
Nice to meet you ☺️
